Preparing for the Season: Embracing the Beginning of Advent

On Wednesday November 29 we enter the Advent Season. This is a joyous time at Christ Lutheran Church and we invite you to join us. Advent is a time of anticipated waiting for events that we look forward to celebrating.

First we look forward to the birth of Christ in the Nativity soon. We anticipate and look forward to this happening.

Second we look forward to the return of Christ as He has promised to return and we wait for that to happen.

These are happy times and we would love to share them with you.

November 29th is the first Advent service at 5:30. This takes place in our Sanctuary and is followed by a supper of soup, sandwich and a desert.

The second occurs on December 6th also at 5:30 in our Sanctuary. This is also followed by a supper of soup, sandwich and desert.

Our final Advent Service is December 13th, also at 5:30, in our Sanctuary. After the service however we move on a little different path. We again have a supper but this time we have Hobo Stew, sandwich and desert.

Wait a minute...what is Hobo Stew you say...well stay tuned and let's all find out what this special night might bring.
